  1. * Quero caught a Marlin stealing.
    * Murakami hit an infield single, extending his hitting streak to 4 games.
    * Hays hit a 3-run HR.
    * Vargas hit a grand slam and an RBI single.
    * The Sox held on to earn their first win of the season!

  2. We may never lose again!

In all seriousness, great game from Vargas. Glad the bullpen didn’t make that more interesting than it needed to be.

  3. Sosa can play defense. This opens up so many more possibilities.

    LFG SOX.

  4. They look better when they’re not playing one of the best teams in the league. Still a bit wary of the bullpen, but it was good enough tonight. Let’s get more of these win things! They’re fun!

  5. Solid outing from Davis Martin considering he almost never records 6K’s. The offense was great minus Quero and Sosa, pen didn’t blow it. It’s easy to say we should of been 2-2 but 1-3

  6. Thank you Vargas. First win is in the books, let’s get the first series win tomorrow

  7. Miguel Vargas until 2030. If he can be a .750 OPS guy for us, he’d have done a good job. Liked and subscribed.

  8. 2 grand slams in the first 4 games? That’s kind of promising. And fuck, I love Mune so much. I went to a Swallows game last year, though he wasn’t on the lineup. They have the most fun 7th inning. Please Google it. I hope we start to sell small umbrellas!!!

  9. Good to see the other guys contributing in this game. I knew Hays could hit for power and it’s great to see it finally showing. I tip my cap to Vargas for the awesome 6 RBIs. Kudos also to Peters for hustle and to Acuña for being a speed demon on the bases and manufacturing a run all by himself!

Shout out to Newcomb for his gutsy performance out there. I knew he got into a jam at the end of his stint but before he ran out of gas, he was dealing. He’s got the build, physical conditioning, and demeanor to be a lights-out reliever. Many thanks to Hicks for bailing out Newcomb and closing it to give us the first win!

  10. Look what happens when we’re not playing one of the most well rounded teams in the league lol we’re still not going to be good but that was one of the worst possible first matchups

  11. Clearly I’m the lucky charm boys. I will now have to travel to every game in the country for us to win.

  12. I flew over Comiskey just as the game was ending headed to Midway! I was good luck!

(Yes I know they’re in Miami tonight.)

  13. Finally got a win. Offense looking better last two games. This pitching staff is still very shaky. Don’t trust anyone on this staff tbh. Martin was ok but seems like he was struggling to throw strikes but Marlins didn’t take advantage. Acuna seems better at ss than cf. Not sure where he fits in with all of the ss we have in the minors.
