  2. i disagree with the last three comments which were basically complaining about the Islanders commentators. I thought the one guy (Thomas Hickey) was pretty good as he seemed genuinely disappointed that his team was letting their goalie down. In a way, he's right. Avery Hayes was open in the middle of three D and not one of them could tie up his stick.

    On another note – 8 goals in one period. It felt like the 80s all over again.

  13. If this is the offense for the Penguins that shows up the remaining games… look out. Could be a surprise dark horse team in the East. The goaltending has to be clutch, and the special teams have to keep being a factor for them. They've been Top 5 pretty much all year in PP and PK. Karlsson has been rejuvenated, and that's bad news for everyone else. Get Malkin back 100% healthy, and make a decent run.

  29. Why would you pull Sorokin at 7-3 with 12 minutes to go? Massive risk to ruin both goalies confidences versus just letting Sorokin play and take the L. Should've switched at 3-3 when it was already clear its not Sorokins (Vezina Winner this year) best night.
    You can clearly see the goalie still inside Roy.

  32. Wild game. I thought we were finished when the Isles went up 3-1. The first two goals Silovs gave up were not looking good on his part. Thankfully he didn't have to do much the rest of the way. Going to need our goalies to be a lot better. Both have been letting in some pretty lame goals as of late.

  35. Genuinely thought it was over after the first two goals, the defense looked so bad. The resilience this team has this year is amazing. What a comeback win turned into a blowout

  41. Pens just needed a reminder of how annoying the whole arena sounds when they go β€œWhoa!” Three times after every freaking goal. Needed to shut em up. What a win for the boys.

  42. Ive been teaching a woman from india about hockey (since the pens are my fave team, mostly pens stuff) since the start of this season. 2 days ago she surprised me with marching rust jerseys. And he scored. Ive never seen someone so happy to see a goal (outside of the cup finals) this year has really been fun from the β€œpassing on the excitement of hockey” perspective. I just hope i can save enough money to bring her to the states to watch a game. (Even if its a local team like the ducks, kings or golden knights)
