Steelers News: Mike McCarthy HINTS At Rodgers’ Return + Patrick Queen TRASHES Mike Tomlin’s Defense

Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy on Aaron Rodgers:
“I’ve talked to Aaron regularly and we’ll continue to do so and we’re just working through it. When it’s time to fully address it, we will. It’s a process that he’s going through and we’re comfortable with it. But we’ve had very, very positive conversations on a weekly basis. The (West Coast) offense, it’s what I believe in it’s obviously what (Aaron) believes in, so that part’s already being built on a daily basis with the coaches…(Aaron) talks to the coaches (on our staff). There’s a lot of very positive, healthy communication going on.”

Patrick Queen on the Steelers defense:
“I done been in two different defenses. Baltimore was just like, ‘That’s y’all position. Ya’ll do what y’all gotta do. Everybody help each other. With Pittsburgh’s, ‘y’all let the D-Line do what they want, ya’ll protect them. Then the safeties, ya’ll protect them’. And it’s like, it’s kind of hard to play like that. It was just eye opening to be able to see the differences and stuff. But that linebacker position, if it’s like that in some other places, that stuff’s tough. I ain’t lying. You gotta do every single thing. You gotta be able to play the run, play the pass no matter what receiver & tight ends they got, running back, offensive linemen. You gotta know every single route combination. You gotta team run all the run plays. You gotta be able to make the calls, line up, get everybody set, get everybody lined up.”

  3. Dude we paid Pat Queen as one of the top ILB in the league. You damn right he should be wearing the dot and getting ppl set up from where he at. In Bmore he was LB 2 and his responsibilities were lighter. Then he chose to come to the Steelers and be LB 1. yeah step ya game up or go back to number 2 and give us that money back. Thats not a Tomlin problem that is a Queen problem

  11. We should have cut queen when we had the chance and signed Tremaine Edmunds to right the wrong in the 2018 and in the 2023 but no we let him get away again in 2026

    No way they are making all these moves for a TBD Quarterback. Unless he gets hurt in the off-season, NO WAY he passes up to play again for McCarthy and a much better Offensive Coordinator, scheme and WR room.
