2. YES!!!!!! Congratulations on your first win of the 2026 season thanks to Roupp who tossed six scoreless innings & giving Tony Vitello his FIRST CAREER VICTORY!! Also, congratulations to Harrison Bader on his FIRST GIANTS HOMER which was a no-doubter 3:27!! Such a relief we won this game & Walker almost blew it but he didn’t & got his first save as a closure!! Now let’s win Game 2 tomorrow 3/31 & hope Logan Webb doesn’t blow it! 5. I do not want to see Walker pitch for the Giants. He blew so many saves last year and now every time he’ll pitch this year is just asking for blown saves. I miss when it was Wilson and Romo as the closer

17. Something's got to be done about the Ryan Walker situation. One thing that I've heard no one mention is that the Giants did — in effect — trade Luis Matos for a reliever. Or rather, they traded Matos to Milwaukee for cash and used that cash to acquire Dylan Smith from the Tigers. I don't know if Smith — or Winn who was lights out in the 8th inning today — could be considered as suitable candidates for the closer position.

    But they might be part of a scheme to "lengthen" the bullpen to set up someone other than Walker as closer.

    They got nothing back for Tyler Fitzgerald though.
