FRUSTRATION: Detroit Tigers’ Lineup FUMBLES – Justin Verlander Falters, Soroka DOMINATES
Detroit Tigers stumble in a wild 9-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, raising fresh concerns about the offense and Justin Verlander’s form. Is this just early-season turbulence, or a sign of deeper issues for the Tigers’ lineup and pitching rotation?
Host Scott Bentley spotlights the Tigers’ struggles against Mike Soroka—including an immaculate inning—and scrutinizes clutch moments from Riley Greene, Colt Keith, and Spencer Torkelson. The episode features a breakdown of Verlander’s disappointing outing, the team’s missed opportunities with runners in scoring position, and the bullpen’s performance against one of MLB’s weakest relief squads. Bentley previews Casey Mize’s critical upcoming start vs. Brandon Pfaadt and questions the Tigers’ ability to take advantage of Arizona’s shaky pitching. Will Detroit’s core hitters and rotation step up to avoid a slide, or is more frustration looming on this West Coast trip? Don’t miss this candid postgame analysis and spirited outlook.

JV didn't throw 1 quality pitch. He looked like you should retire tomorrow. Hall of Fame awaits.
He looked rough!
JV isnt what he used to be he looked terrible 😔
Soroka looked like Cy Young flinging offspeed pitches that made the Tiger hitters look lost. The guy hasn't had an ERA below 4.25 since 2019.
How many times have Greene and Torkelson absolutely broke your spirits by failing to hit with runners on base?
I expected a bad start. He ain't 25 anymore. I think he'll give us some quality starts as the season goes along. I'm more worried about the offense. Crap.
