[Hall] Porter Martone said he went to Michigan State at 198 pounds and finished at 210 and lost three percent body fat. So he felt he really gained strength at college. He had high praise for Michigan State.
Double standards. Martone gona get top line minutes for coming into the team with more weight. /s
Probably one of the most ready NHL prospects the Flyers have ever had at 19!
More like Portly Martone
I’m so ready for his first goal and the team celly that will follow
This right there is one of the big benefits of players going the NCAA route before the NHL. Lots of time in between games to practice and bulk up, plus college dining halls make it easy to get the calories.
putting on 5kg of muscle in under a year is crazy work.
That’s impressive if he was able to keep that weight up during the season. That’s one of the biggest challenges especially for young guys that recently added mass, more muscle means more fuel. Very excited for this kid and seems to be a dawg!
Get Zegras and Barkey on this diet/training plan. Not that either is about to become a power forward but a little extra size might help.
Hypothetically, if he were coming into camp, would he be considered to be in shape or…
The facilities are world class and time off to train. Gains !
