Kat said Brown wanted to do something else instead of exploiting the mismatch.

  1. Fired Thibs because our players didn’t like playing under him. Hired a coach who our players don’t like playing under. Is this an FO thing or is it a common denominator with some of our players.

  2. I’m sick of constantly seeing Mike Brown standing there with his mouth open waiting to catch flies when they pan the camera to him every game. My ball knowledge isn’t elite enough to recommend someone new for next season, but I sure hope it isn’t Mike Brown.

  3. Biggest non story of all time, hearing about this after every game is exhausting. We struggled to get KAT the ball with smaller players on him last year also, this isn’t a new thing with KAT. I’m convinced a lot of people have memory loss or just don’t understand what they’re watching. KAT’s been playing well, we’ve been playing well

  4. So how about get your big ass down below and take advantage of the size mismatch instead of bitching about it to the media. You act like the coach can fully control what nba players do. Players run the game and the league

  5. I don’t know who’s side to take because KAT and Brown are my least favorite Knicks right now. Tough one

  6. I mean did anyone else see how often KAT struggled when he touched the ball against Caruso in the paint? What are we really talking about here? He did not seem capable of consistently exploiting that mismatch for this to be a news story.

  7. Do something else …. Means … lose on purpose ?
Because.. ya know … when you have a tactical advantage that you don’t utilize … it’s kinda like you decided you don’t wanna win

  8. KAT is definitely biting his tongue rn and I bet he requests a trade in the offseason if they keep brown unless they win the chip

  9. I’m starting to get fucking frustrated with how much KAT is being underutilized

  10. Folks are gonna complain that his D is bad and that’s true but he’s not wrong about the offensive side.

  11. Call me crazy but we looked good against them, they were totally beatable. They just had the refs and better coaching.

  12. I was yelling this exact thing at the TV. You have a mismatch and you aren’t taking advantage of it. Very frustrating.

  13. The team doesn’t trust Kat to not commit an offensive fouls or throw up a wild layup that ends up with him on the ground and the team playing 4 on 5 down the other end. Hart being on the floor doesn’t even matter. Teams are still defending him with a smaller guy to bait the Knicks to feeding Kat

  14. Maybe this is all a fugazi and they want people to scheme us wrong in the playoffs then release KAT when teams throw mismatches at him or pester Brunson with longer guards

(I don’t actually believe this, let me cope)

  15. By giving KAT the paint, OKC keeps Brunson out of the paint. So I understand Brown not wanting to play into their hands. OKC’s defensive strategy was to try and get KAT the ball and force him to make a decision from deep in the post. Why? Because Brunson is so much more of a threat in the paint than KAT is. Also, let’s be real here it’s not like KAT was 1v1ing Caruso. They doubled him very quickly.

But Brown’s response wasn’t designed well enough. In order to give Brunson the paint, he basically iced KAT from the offense entirely. It shouldn’t need to be one way or the other. You still gotta use KAT. The offense need to be more fluid and it needs to happen within the game and not after a bunch of games of us noticing this. Other teams will use this strategy in the post-season.

This was a tightly contested game until the very end. They were doing something right.

Totally different subject, but KAT’s defense has been more than just good recently. I wonder if that might have something to do with it.

  16. There’s obviously a rift between towns and brown but it shouldn’t be leading to not using towns’ advantages. That’s just bad coaching.

  17. Been the case alllll season lol. Then people would say it’s because KAT doesn’t know how to post up or he’s not fighting for position. Like he wasn’t an elite post player last season.

  18. I don’t believe this. Kat wouldn’t say something like this and nobody else is reporting this.

  19. The icing out of KAT is going to be viewed as one of the worst decisions in this teams history. Career year last year and he’s relegated to just hoping he gets tip ins on the offensive rebound. Absolutely insane we don’t utilize him especially as he is 1 of 2 players on this team that you can give the ball and say go get a bucket

  20. There is clearly a disconnect between KAT & Brown and if this is true Brown is wrong and I’m starting to believe the problem.
If he can’t see they should’ve exploited that mismatch then i’ve got real questions about his coaching style. He did the same thing against Detroit when their whole frontline was out.
Brown clearly doesn’t trust Towns to be the Allstar he is and that’s a problem because if he continues to be an after thought in Browns system they are going nowhere in the playoffs!!

  21. Anytime a player not named Jose sees KAT posting up they have a kissing my teeth look on their face like why is he doing this. They don’t look to get him the ball
