  1. I know he’s a loved player and was great in the locker room. But not sure we need tribute videos for someone that was on the team for 1 1/2 seasons

  2. If I remember correctly, his first game with us he hit a walk off single against the dodgers and it was magical.

  3. One of my favorite players in the game, I was so stoked when they traded for him.

  4. Video tribute for a guy that played ~300 games and had one (?) memorable moment with us feels a little ridiculous

  5. He was here less than 2 years, but it shows how much impact he had with us. I did find it funny in his interview he basically said his contract with SF is only 1 year like he could come back lol.

  6. I like that the tribute video shows his aggressive chest smacks and then him doing the heart with his hands 😂 I bet Macias flinched when he saw the video lmao

  7. Love that guy, great energy and a great bat!
Not as always as disciplined at the plate but truly a great guy!
    Miss you Luis

  8. I don’t understand the Arraez hatred. The dude was a good teammate and won the first batting title for the Padres since Gwynn.

If you want to argue that he should have hit in a different spot in the lineup that’s cool. Reasonable people can disagree.

If you want to argue that he wasn’t worth re-signing at the amount the Giants are paying him, that’s fine. The Padres had more urgent needs.

But hating on the guy at this point is just weird.

  9. I was disappointed with his performance last year but I’ll miss having him on the team. He’s such a nice guy and was clearly a great clubhouse presence. You’ll always be a Padre to me, Luis.

  10. Interesting the giants put him in the cleanup spot….imagine recognizing he probably shouldn’t be leadoff and sticking with it no matter what.

  11. Awe I love that they did this. He always spoke so highly of the team and fans, and it sounded like he really wanted to stay. I’d be very bad at the business end of baseball, but I’m happy someone is letting the orgs/fans heart speak if we had to let him go.

  12. I was in right field foul seats on dog night in Cincy. Yes my dog was there. He hit his first homerun as a Padre, landed in right field bleachers. That was cool.
