  1. They could have played 30 innings today and this offense was never going to score.

  2. Hope Suzuki is ready for the upcoming road trip, ‘cause he is badly needed back.

  3. Conforto has just not looked good so far this season at the plate. I really wish Ballesteros wasn’t pinch ran for in the 7th.

  4. Anyone else just lower their heads when they saw Conforto coming to the plate? I told my wife, who doesn’t watch baseball, “Well this game is over.”

  5. It’s early obviously, but honestly Craig council makes absolutely dog shit decisions. He will figure out the pen and the bats will get hot. But Shaw is dog shit and he can go hit some turning point USA podcast and conferto is like the tenth bargain bin absolute cheeks player I’ve seen Jed sign since 2020. As it stands, they got a lot to work on.

    Go cubs

Added: Aww did I upset the evangelical grifter crew?

  6. I know the offense isnt looking good but im super nervous about Boyd, Imanaga, and Taillon.

  7. ben brown was awesome but the offense was not and the batting order needs to change to start I think

  8. We’re saving the runs for the playoffs. We’re saving the runs for the playoffs. We’re saving the runs for the playoffs. We’re saving the runs for the pla-

  9. So much for a winning homestand against two cellar dwellers from last season. The Cubs didn’t get shutout until their 16th game last year. Very little hard contact by the offense and 7 walks by the pitching staff

  10. You can tell almost instantly with this team if they’re going to have a good offensive night or not

  11. First shutout last season was game 16, only made it to game 5 this year

  12. Interesting game note…Cubs shut out in game 5 in 2026, weren’t shut out until game 16 last year. 2-3 against the Nats and Angels at home (I get it, it’s still early) is not a good look.

  13. Conforto being on this team is a prime example of the fo trying to be too cute. Hes just been awful. I get Suzuki is in that spot and is injured but hes just shown absolutely nothing

  14. I don’t get how we play in the cold more than most and no one ever changes their approach to accommodate that. Like aren’t you all in the big leagues?

  15. I love PCA, but not sure you want your cleanup hitter bunting all the time, especially with 2 strikes and men on base.

  16. The streakiness of the bats could be the death of this team (and the strength lol). A bunch of guys that are a lot streakier at the plate than the average player. When those streaks align across the lineup things could get ugly, and then unstoppable at other stretches. Would be nice if they could balance it out a bit

  17. PCA and Bregman misplaying those two plays led to the only runs of the game. 99/100 times both of those guys make those plays.

Offense desperately needs to get Seiya back in the lineup which would move everyone down a spot and also get Shaw/Conferto out of the lineup on a daily basis.

    Win/win if you ask me.
