Majority of the reports say as of today he's projected at #3. Who knows it changes daily, I wonder if we can trade up to get him by throwing in Edmontons pick.
Pointless dreaming about Reid or Verhoeff. Smits and Carels will likely be gone too. Looking at Rudolph, Lin, Villenueve, Piiparinen, or some big forwards like Hemming and Morozov in that range.

OHL & WHL less so are a bit weaker since the NCAA thing… I think Chase Reid is 5th at most or likely outside the top 5. Carels is super speedy, also Caleb Malhotra & Verhoeff are 17, so 20-50% stock should be added to them both. Verhoeff can work on his skating, but he’s a physical specimen. Mannys kid is a speed demon!! I never thought Reid was super fast, I’ll need to watch the tape again! He’s got a great shot though… he’s definitely in the top 10, most likely a top 3-4 dman in the show.
The headline is pretty deceptive… It reads like Chase Reid is San Jose’s property, already.
