Most of this is a recap of stuff people in here probably already know but I appreciate the call out about why spending money on free agents you have a connection to is better than spending willy nilly like in 2024

  2. What’s a good sign is that good free agents you have a connection with want to come play for you. WanDale and JFM absolutely had other good offers, and chose us. If they’re young enough to potentially get another contract, they’re going to want to go somewhere they think they’ll look good.

    It’s similar to the Daboll hire. Dude absolutely wants to be a head coach again, had plenty of offers, and still chose us. He’s not taking a job if he doesn’t feel like it’s going to set him up for the next one.

  3. Fairley obvious choice I feel like for Daboll though. I would assume he would want most of the control over the offense and a team that in a year or two you can see improvement that he can use for his next head coaching opportunity. Not that he didn’t have other options but the Titans fit those criteria, especially considering the reports coming out of NY that Saleh didn’t go to offensive meetings while he was there at times.

  7. Ehh… we’ve still got a bunch of holes to fill.

    We’re likely going to need to nail our draft and see significant development from last year’s draft class to be any sort of playoff contender.

  8. Y’all are crazy. We still have no offense. No real WR1. No real WR2. A qb who still needs development. No running back. No offensive line. No kicker. Get ready for 5 wins this year.
