The box score numbers do not capture just how impactful Kris was tonight. There is no way we win without all the different things he was doing for us tonight on both ends of the floor. He is tantalizingly just a league average jumpshot away from having a long and successful NBA career. I really want him to figure the shooting out.
Straight belt to ass!
Deni and Jrue were both absolute fucking monsters tonight, but also shout out Kris Murray. His offensive rebounding and hustle in this one made a huge difference.
Undefeated in the Dundon era!
This is the WIN the Blazers need! Not because we happened to have a good shooting night! Not because the opponent played sloppy basketball! But because of energy, defense, and focus! This is the identity of the Blazers we have wanted since the start of the season! With this attitude, playoffs, here we come!
1-0 IN THE DUNDON ERA
1-0 in the Dundon era. We may never lose again.
LOOK AT THE HOG ON THE BLAZERS
Kris is a national TV merchant
Scoot deserves a better whistle
Kawahi’s shoulders scare me
Deni proved he’s ready to lead this team
Scoot genuinely has a historically bad whistle but some of his takes coulda been makes. Shoulda had 20+ easily
Kris Murray legacy game. Cant hit a damn jumpshot but SO good on the boards
UNDEFEATED UNDER DUNDON
Cedar Rapids legacy game
The Kris Murray game
Kris Murray legacy game, you love to see it!
Kris Murray might be the second coming of Dennis Rodman
Game notes:
* What a game. Biggest game of the season and the team all showed up in a huge way.
* Kris was SO HUGE in general but especially on the offensive glass. HE didn’t make his shots but he got the Blazers like 8 extra possessions by playing super hard, fighting on the offensive glass, getting deflections on defense, etc.
* I really liked the defensive gameplan against Kawhi, stunting at the ball, showing bodies, switching coverages, etc. Also they did a much better job against Lopez than they did last time we played, with the guy one pass away usually closing out hard on Lopez and forcing him to drive as opposed to letting him just catch and shoot wide open.
* Tough game for DC in a matchup where we couldn’t play drop. Props to him for being playable and not a total disaster in the bad matchup, but…not his best night.,
* 18-2 run at the end of the second quarter was awesome. Jrue/Tisse/Camara and DC is a LOT of defense and super fun when they are hitting shots.
* The video of Dundon laying into Cronin was…..interesting to say the least.
* Deni was dominant today – he was relentless getting downhill, and the Clippers couldn’t stop him getting to his right hand all night. Not too many TOs either. I don’t think I’ve seen the Blazers hunt a matchup so aggressively as they hunted Garland today, and it worked. Now iof only he gets his jumper back.
* Shoutout to Jrue chasing around Kawhi all night and then making a ton of huge shots (a lot of tough contested stepback threes). So freaking huge on a day where we are missing two of the best shooters on the roster in Grant and Vit.
* Rob was awesome in his minutes. They went on a huge run both times he checked into the game. Also he played 10 straight minutes in the second quarter which was….good but I don’t know how often I want Rob playing 10 minutes straight.
* Tisse directly saved 3 buckets by getting some sort of deflection at the last minute on a fastbreak or some other play where it looked like the Clippers were about to score. Nice.
* I sound like Lamar, but I wish they would just roll the ball on the inbounds plays after the Clippers scored in the fourth quarter. Up double digits and the clippers not extending ball pressure you should just roll the ball inbounds and drain clock because the game clock still runs but the shot clock doesn’t start until you touch the ball.
* Scoot hit some big shots but his decision making/finishing on drives is still so weird to me. He made a bunch of great moves to get to the front of the rim but it felt like multiple times when he got to the rim his brain short circuited and he would either lose the ball, choose the wrong layup and it misses, or pass up open layups to pass the ball. He did hit a few huuuuge threes including a stepback three to end the third quarter which was dope though. And on the bright side he’s now getting to the rim and looking good doing so…

Your Portland Trail Blazers are a winning team and it is all because of Kris Murray
WE HAVE ASCENDED!!!
Good fucking shit. Jrue and Kris were huge for us. Scoot, Deni, and Tou did their thing. Rob and Tisse contributed. Clingan
Once again we can say, it’s a great day to be a Blazer!!!
Give Kris his damn flowers yall
i was emotionally prepared for an implosion not a win. nice job fellas. god that feels nice
Well I had fun
Kris Murray you beautiful bastard
Best win all year imo, and we have had a couple handfuls of great wins.
Easily one my favorite games of the season. Jrue is my timeless goat, Deni is returning to triple double form. It’s a beaut Clark!!!
THIS GAME WAS AMAZING HOLY SHIT WE ACTUALLY DID IT LET’S KEEP IT GOING BOYS
I’m gonna give Splitter a lot of credit tonight. Playoff atmosphere and he made the right calls all night.
I give him enough stick, gotta give credit where it’s due.
Good fucking shit. Let’s get another dub against the Pelicans.
As long as our Blazers play like this through April, that 8th seed is as good as ours.
Kris Murray, Cedar Rapids golfing ace and MASSIVE in LA
The vibes are immaculate
Blazers went out and got this one, insane work on the boards. You love to see it
Well I think that’s a pretty good response to the people who questioned if Deni could deliver in a playoff type game
Love hearing the la crowd cheering for deni in the post game interview on nbc
The crowd cheering “DENI DENI” in the arena 🥺
Deni ability to slow down any type of run the clippers had with his free throws was a huge key for the w
Kris Fuckin Murray
Best win of the season, especially considering it was a high stakes game (context of the team) That was a team that was dialed in. So many incredible performances. That was the best deni played pre back injury. Jrue was great. Toumani Camara was also incredible. Kudos to Kris Murray, such a good basketball player. He just gets it, if that jumper was ever respectable watch out.
Shoutout splitter a really well coached game. The staff clearly prepared a great game plan, and the team executed
Most fun game I’ve watched in a while. Let’s go Blazers! Make a push towards play in success. P.s. above .500 with the season rounding out. The potential and ceiling is high for this team, especially when the pieces are clicking
The fact that Jrue had 30 points while also guarding Kawhi 90% of the game is fucking insane. It goes to say how valuable his vet presence truly is & being able to deliver when things started looking gray. BIG FUCKING DUB!
Glad to see Deni js back to his pre injury form, especially in a big game like this, jut needs to get his shot back. We are fucking massive
I really haven’t posted too much about specific games for a while. This was a very important game so I was really curious to see how we would come out and I couldn’t be more proud of how we looked in that 1st half. Seeing Dundon having passionate talk with Cronin had me FIRED UP.
It truly felt like we were beginning a new era and everyone was playing with a purpose that I really haven’t seen in years. I have said for weeks that our organization was falling into being a unserious franchise that was just going through the motions. It didn’t feel like there was real urgency throughout the organization to compete. It felt like we had multiple seasons where we just weren’t coming away with any much conclusive data to build off. I think it comes with rebuilding, but it felt like everyone didn’t take winning seriously and we weren’t maximizing our potential.
I thought that first half was finally a feeling that we haven’t had since the Dame years where everyone understood the assignment and played with maximum effort and PRIDE. I LOVED IT. I am excited to see Dundon maintain a high standard throughout the organization to let everyone know that we are a serious franchise focused on competing.
When Deni is playing like that we are a truly different team. Everyone can just settle into roles when you got 1 guy that can just destroy opposing defenses and be a matchup nightmare that opens up shots for everyone else.
He looked like the best player on the court and it was incredible to watch him play with so much aggression and passion.
Clippers were starting to fight back but we kept composed. We didn’t let their shot making get us down and just kept playing to our strengths. Scoot had some miscues but knocked down 3s and played some aggressive defense, Jrue hitting timely shots all night, Rob clamping the paint, and then KRIS FREAKING MURRAY. He had the perfect role player night and just kept getting us possessions and shots for our better shooters so it didn’t even matter that he can’t shoot, he was incredible.
This game made me believe in this team more than all year. Maybe its just the fact that it happened the same day Dundon took office and it truly felt like a true change to spark a new era… the fact that we came out with such great urgency vs a hot team that we NEEDED to beat… I hope this is real because I love it!!
W in the chat
Deni was really good this game. After a big stretch of inconsistency and mediocre games its good to see the Deni we kow is still here. He was legit double-teamed and even triple-teamed for most of the second half.
Jrue was also great with a big 30-bomb. Made some good shots down the stretch and probably propelled us to the win despite their effort to imprison Deni.
Also Kris was huge on the boards and the hustle and I was honestly shocked to see his box score. At least his plus minus does him justice.
This wasn’t Kilngan’s game lol. But the fact we beat a team on a similar level despite his rough game is encouraging.
Good shit tonight
Jrue… 30 points. He’s finally a shooting guard for us
HOLY SHIT…. WE BEAT THE CLIPPERS WITH LEONARD PLAYING 🔥🔥…. Catching up on the night 😭🙌🏿
