Matt Miller On Bears & Peter Woods:
“This isn’t a great interior defensive line class, but the Bears could check off their biggest roster need while picking a defender in Round 1 for the first time since 2018 (Roquan Smith). Woods didn’t live up to his potential at Clemson, but scouts believe that he’ll be a better pro than college player. His physical tools are special, with first-step burst and overall strength that look like a high-end 3-technique starter. Woods could serve as Grady Jarrett’s understudy before taking a larger role in the future.”

I’m hoping safety
N
I’d significantly prefer going linebacker over Peter Woods…I don’t like taking big risks like that with a 1st round pick and Malik Muhammad>Stevenson 100% he is absolutely lockdown
C
Yes
If we can't trade back, Kayden McDonald is the only DT I would be ok with at 25. If not him, take a better player at a different position. There are multiple 3rd and 4th round DTs you can draft if we want projects.
Thank God Matt Miller isn't running our draft.
Hate that draft. Edge is a bigger need than DT, WR, or CB.
Not really impressed with this one
If Bears want an edge they better take him in rnd 1 because I doubt one falls to 57. There are more DTS in rnds 2-5 than good edge players.
4th round is where Poles drafts a kicker.
Don’t trade back and miss out on needed impact player! At 25 take best DT, Edge or Safety on your board. Trust your scouting. Second and third rounds have quality depth for next 3 picks

I like Kilgore more then Haulcy
Don't love this draft, but I'm not even sure I like it. Peter Woods is a meh pick…don't love don't hate it…Haulcy is a really good pick…Muhammad is a good pick…as Harrison said, a little early…Skyler Bell…hate this pick…as a Wisconsin Badgers Football fan…he was horrible at Wisconsin…hands of stone…would have 2-3 steps on a DB and the ball would inexplicably sail right through his hands…can't even tell you how many times I was yelling at the TV…Mason Reiger…long i…was a really good player at Wisconsin…played better with less talent than most players!
Mason Reiger is one of the dudes I plan to keep my eye on next year
Heck No! Christian Miller before Woods.
N
Haucy, Bell asnd Kelly I love but the rest I give a C-
THIS MOCK F- WE NEED A EDGE AND DT BADLY !
I appreciate your insight, but I completely disagree on Woods. Dude would have been a top 7 pick had he replicated his production from the year before and we get him at 25. Sign me up all day everyday! Also love Haulcy
we must find better than this tripe. Another WR before edge or Oline depth? NO FKN WAY. this would be a NET step backwards for the overall roster strength.
B
Don't take a safety in the 1st round. They rarely work out, unless they are all-time exceptional college players
No doesn’t fit the scheme
BPA is bs 95% of the time.
Honestly my fav wr prospect in this draft is Jeff Caldwell
I think we will trade back & get another 2nd along with a 3rd! If that happens u can get Gabe Jacas, the best Safety, & OL in the 2nd then in the 3rd u can take a DT in Gracen Halton or Kaleb Proctor & WR Skyler Bell! In the 4th u could see a RB
C
at 25, the only 2 options that are worth taking at 25 that MAY be there are Mesidor and Thienaman. Trade down and get another pick late round-3 or early round-4. I'd love a trade with NYJ (our 25 & 57 for their 33, 44 and 5th) but it won't happen.
Hell no!!
Woods would be the pick, if he's available at #25!!
No
One of the worst mock drafts for the Bears I've seen this year. Hard pass.
Not a fan of that mock. Haulcy was the only pick I liked.
N need a safety
Kayden McDonald at 25 would be incredible but there's no way he gets to 25. Can't trade up
Other than Haulcey and Bell this draft was horrible. Unless mcdonald is there at 25 you have to go edge there or left tackle. Mohammed in the second is horrible. Miller needs to stop drinking while drafting for da bears.
no at 25 for woods
