Our Boy Cam had himself a Quality Start

  1. This start by Max and Cam knowing Cole is back at some point is giving me so much hope

Will be left disappointed for the 17th time in row October though? 😢

  2. I still don’t understand why fans weren’t thinking he’ll win 20 games this season. This guy could end up being our best pitcher. Fried always starts hot and then his era climbs later on

  3. Just Attack Attack Attack. Love to see it especially with ABS. He isnt afraid of keeping it in the zone.

  4. Keeping the pitch count low is gonna be key to him as they go along. If he can effectively get through 6 innings under 80-85 pitches, that’s a boon for how they can curtail his workload as Cole and Rodón get back into the swing of things. He’s so fun to watch pitch.

  5. Cam is without a doubt my favorite player on this team.

Something about the way he carries himself reminds me of the 90’s dynasty.

  6. Currently leading the league in fwar for this brief snapshot of time, but hopefully not the last.

  7. So if you want to have fun cherry picking, if you go back to August 13th when he started throwing his curve & include the playoffs, Cam has a 2.06 ERA, 1.92 FIP in 74.1 innings. 89 strikeouts (10.8/9), 19 walks (2.3/9), 2 home runs allowed (.2/9), and only 45 hits allowed (5.4/9). He also has 2.3 fWAR and around the same bWAR (regular season only) which is good for third best in baseball behind Sanchez and Gausman (hey, Fried is 4th)

  8. Good start. Wish they would have let him finish the 7th to put less on the bullpen, but nothing to complain about from him.

  9. Another quality start. The season is very young but it looks like the Yankees have 3 aces: Schlittler, Fried and Cole!

  10. I still maintain that Andy Pettite himself forged Cam Schlitter out of a shard of ice in his veins.
