  1. Damn man. That’s rough. Glad Ja$ got the help he needed, he seems like a really good dude. Fuck injuries.

  2. People talking about their mental health struggles is good and should be destigmatized.

  3. For someone who was completely confident/cocky and someone who joked around a ton, this is important to see him being honest about his struggles. That shows how serious it was/is.

  4. Has to be rough to wake up and wonder how much farther you would have gotten if it weren’t for injuries.

Being an elite athlete your entire life and then have it suddenly taken away by injuries would be an extreme adjustment.

Hopefully he can rediscover himself and find something that fills the void

  5. Mad props. Most of us are facing our own battles, its just a matter of if you want to acknowledge it or not.

  6. Corner is rough. A little bit of athleticism drop off due to injuries/aging and you’re done. It’s not just Jaire, look around the league and many former elite corners are fringe nfl guys by 29.

Can only imagine how tough that is for Jaire, especially with his passion and clear love of football.

Ended up being a brief prime, but he was an awesome football player. Still my most recent jersey.

  7. I hope Jaire finds peace mental health matters and with the recent suicides we’ve seen from active players it needs to be taken all that more seriously.

  8. I will always love you Jaire. I was never really annoyed at any of your “antics” anyways. Top 10 Packer for me as a fan.

You won’t be able to tell the story of Justin Jefferson without Jaire’s griddy. I love that.

  9. is this his actual instagram? i see videos with him doing q&a’s it almost looks like a fan account

  10. maybe a stupid question but why do we have to credit Meirov, who isn’t even a real reporter, with a screenshot of a post from Jaire’s instagram?

  11. Injuries really took a toll on his mental health, and I don’t blame him. The injuries began to stack up, and hope he finds a new path in life after football. Love Ja and wished we capped it off after his performance in the NFCCG

  12. Bring him back even at his worst hes 10x the corner nixon and valentine are and now he isnt expensive

  13. He was so elite before all of the injuries caught up to him. Really just unfortunate

  14. I will always like this dude. I wish he turned into a lifer for us, but that’s how it goes.

  15. Sportrac shows him as retired… in my opinion this is a win in the long term. Some will think differently, but retiring from an industry that wears heavily on your mind and body at 29 with 75 million in career earnings is ideal. I always think if my fat ass had made the NFL I would have got in, got my money, and got out.

  16. Even if it was a brief moment in time but he was the best corner in the league. Pack is back

  17. All love for Ja and although i wouldve been a little salty if he balled out after we cut him, I definitely wanted him to return to form. If i had to root for an afc team it would be baltimore. At least while they have King Henry.

  18. Ja, my guy, I don’t know if you will ever see this but I will never stop shouting about how you made the first time seeing the Packers special for me when you signed my shirt. You’re my favourite Packers player not because of your impact on the field but because of your energy and who you are.

I remember when it was the first game in London for the Packers, we’d travelled down the day before but our train was cancelled so we’d opted to take the bus. Halfway down the bus stopped at a rest station and while grabbing a bottle of water I grabbed a Sharpie and I remember my family looking at me like I was crazy and saying I’d never get my shirt signed but I told them I’m manifesting it in my head.

We got to the stadium and I got to start seeing you all warming up, I clocked you instantly and eventually you came over and the rest is history. The shirt sits above the sofa in our sitting room and I see it every day and think of how great that day was.

The impact you had on me as a fan was far deeper than I expected and I wish you the best if you decide to hang the cleets up now.
