Jacoby will turn 34 this season and will be behind an ehh offensive line and is almost certainly the starting QB. Only guaranteeing 1.5M is a pretty bad deal for him.

Take being an NFL player out of the equation.
If you are expected to be in a higher up role at a company/job, you would expect to be paid as such.
Rework his contract and throw him some incentive based bonuses and problem solved.

Monti played himself, they passed on Malik Willis and now forced to take Ty Simpson or another QB this draft class if they’re gonna move off Brissett and have to rely on Minshew. Teams are gonna ask them for a lot of draft capital now but Monti wouldn’t have to worry about our 2027 draft picks if they’re taking a QB this year. Imagine Monti gave Jacoby a significant raise, I would be done with him.
I hope after the draft Bidwill starts looking at new GM candidates. We should have known it was gonna be bad when he gave Minshew a bigger contract over Jacoby, he doesn’t know how to run the draft or sign players on market value.
