  1. Wait was Steve & Adam being serious about Kuemper getting vezina votes? I thought they were joking but I don't wanna doubt these guy & their takes sometimes. Kuemper's been awful this season, Forseberg is the starter going into the playoffs, he was amazing down the stretch. Kuemper was losing them games when it mattered.

  2. Kings arent some sneaky possible upset wildcard team this year like other years. They are truly that bad of a team and shouldn't even be in the playoffs. I also always get annoyed with the Lightning and Bruins examples of top teams toppling because they wild card teams they faced were deep down not wild card teams and way better than where they finished (The Panthers went to THREE CUPS with that same roster, let's not act like they are the same as the Kings in 2026 lol). The Kings are not that this year let's keep it real everyone. Just cause it happened a few times doesn't mean every year it's automatic. Hell mainly the top seeds at least get to round 2 lately.

  3. The Avs are the only team that can beat the Avs this round. They are loaded down the middle with excellent wings on all four lines, loaded on defense, and both goalies have been really good to great for the majority of this season. Plus their core has cup experience, so they know what it takes to make a run. And the unmentioned x-factor… Landy is back after a whole season and has them on track just like 2022. They stay locked in, I don’t see LA having enough to steal this. But we’ll see what happens. Because no team is good enough to make a run without putting in the work.

  4. Kuemper hasn't been the same since the concussion. Forsberg's the starter now. As a Kings fan, I predict they don't lead in this series for a single second and get handily swept. Like multigoal deficit losses. Networks will want to hide this series for fear of boring their audience. They are completely out of gas. They spent it all on that 5 game win streak to get in. Ceci-Dumbass pairing have been a bane on this team. They are responsible as a pair for some many blown leads this year, it'll make your head spin and they will be in charge of stopping any of the lines on the Avs? lol The Kings also have the worst special teams in the NHL. Near bottom PP. Near bottom PK. Can't hit an empty net. Patrick Roy pulled the goalie at 8:00 remaining and the Kings failed to score a single empty netter and gave up a goal. This team is woefully bad against an actual NHL team. Byfield has the lowest face-off percentage of any center that has played all season I'm fairly certain. He was averaging in the 30s and had plenty of games where he didn't win a single face off. It's ugly, man.

  5. What is interesting to me and I think could be done well, is Byfield being tasked with Mackinnon. DJ Smith in the last game against the Oilers had McDavid watched by Byfield and McDavid wasn't a factor for the game for the most part and took a frustration penalty. As a Kings fan I don't have much faith in LA to win the series, but I'd rather see the Aves instead of the Oilers again.
