  1. 8 runs on 8 hits is definitely something. This team is an interesting team. But if we win I’m all for it. Go Guards!

    Franchise shortstop Brayan Rocchio

    We’re cookin’ folks

  4. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

José tracker- 291!!!(+2) HRs, 297 SBs

Hawaiian Rolls going 90+ mph on a baseball diamond? More likely than you think! Joey Cantillo🍍 ends his day with a line of 4.2IP, 5H, 4R, 3BB, and 6K on 89 pitches (44 strikes). Nearly successful at navigating all the baserunners before Taylor Ward finally got to him (what could’ve been…).

What a fascinating collection of hits… and also José! The bats get 8 runs off of 8 hits and 4 walks. José🐐 is really breaking through now, with a pair of solo bombs for his fifth and sixth on the year… 300 soon? Behind him, Rocchio🪨 had a trio of singles, Fry🍟 had a pair of his own, and there are no Brito positives in ba sin se.

    Summon the bullpen arms! Festa🎉(0.1IP), Pallette🧦(2IP), Sabrowski😎(1IP), and Armstrong💪(1IP) combine for 4.2IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, and 6K. Armstrong for closer? Pallette cracked? Angel😇 has a great glove???

(Yesterday) I believe I heard a BAZZANA BOMB! Bazzana🍌 went 2/5, hitting a double and his first homer of the season. Huff😤 joined Bazzana in the bleachers with a bomb, while Halpin🐤 and Watson🌩️ each added a double. Akron was let by a great day for Jake Fox🦊, who went 2/2 with a clutch RBI triple in the ninth and 3 walks. Finally, Lake County EXPLODED for 16 runs, featuring Aaron Walton going 4/4 with a double, triple, and 4 RBI.

  5. Is Brayan Rocchio a top tier 9 hole hitter?

I know Brito had that big knock today, but if the fielding keeps being as bad as it is, I might be making the call for the Aussie sooner rather than later

  6. Great series win. Should have been a sweep.

Props to Festa and Pallette coming in and shutting down any comeback threat. Bullpen was great today.

  7. Vogt giving Albernaz a show of respect at the end of the game was awesome. Love both coaches. What an awesome series. Should’ve been a sweep but hey not gonna complain about 3/4 and seeing the young guys rake. Not to mention Jose back to his regular self.

  8. This team just continues to play some really solid baseball. The April schedule looked brutal on paper coming into the season, but this team has played some very good baseball. It hasn’t been perfect it’s easy to work through the slow starts for some guys when you’re winning ball games though.

  9. I know it won’t happen, but Hedges should be the everyday catcher. No chance anyone else gets Cantillo through the first inning.

  10. Before the season started I told myself that I was either going to get a Rocchio or Schneemann jersey

    I think I’ll have *BOTH*

  11. It’s amazing that despite all the bullpen blowups, errors, baserunning gaffes, etc, we lead AL in wins.

  12. Jose leaving Rocchio to do the interview in the cold, like a poor little sacrificial lamb

  13. Good job challenging those pitches down 4 in the 9th Baltimore. Worked out really well for you.

  14. I bet the National Media groans every time they see the Guardians in 1st place.

  15. Brito needs to be send down soon, he can’t play major league level defense. Almost cost us another game today.

  16. After the soccer disappointment early this morning, the guardians gave a welcome boost today, easily could’ve swept them which is impressive with Baltimore’s lineup

  17. Brito is here because Arias isn’t. He’s a rookie and won’t be perfect. Part of player development is making mistakes. He’ll be traveling to Cbus when Arias is back.

  18. So close to a sweep, but three out of four is not too bad…way to bounce back from Friday

  19. Starting to fall in love with Rocchio. Seems like a really solid dude, great that he’s taking interviews in English now. Just a cool guy. Also how god damned lucky do we have a guy like Josey, how can one not get romantic about baseball

  20. Bases loaded for the Reds in the top of the 9th in Minnesota, down 3-1 w/ one out

  21. Good weekend for the Guards. We have had our issues with Houston. They are off to a slow start, might be good time to play them and win the series.

  22. Well worth freezing my butt off to see the Guards clip the birdie wings! And see Jose master game today! And Angel gold glover Martinez

  23. Ballgame in Minnesota! Redlegs complete their sweep of the Twins on an ABS challenge that turned a ball to a strike!
