  1. Detach from the outcome. It sounds counter productive – But the more you actively want something, the more it repels away from you. (This works in all areas of life)

We’ve already won game one. Detach the desire to win game one. Refocus that energy on doing the little things that naturally come to you. (Aka actively listening to your body and not forcing anything.) All those little things will lead to the outcome we initially desired.

Yes, there are games we will lose, but no one win and no one loss (at this moment in time) decides the Stanley Cup Champion.

It is a hard to explain the thought process, but it goes like this:

Winning: This gets us one step closer beating these guys. Enjoy the win. Soak up the positive energy. Spread the positive energy to your friends and family – It is contagious!

Losing: Sucks, but it’s not the end of the world. there is a reason why we play 7 games. Get excited and pummel them in game two. I (we) may have not wanted to lose game 1, but it is apart of the master plan in the back of our minds. It is important to not overthink and to detach yourself emotionally from loses. Losses have to be objectively reviewed. (Being objective removes the negative emotion from reviewing mistakes – It also gives excitement and positive energy a chance to move in. You now have an exciting opportunity to improve your game!

Stay excited. Stay hungry. Stay loose.

Ride the highs. Storm out of the lows. Refuse to bend over this 2026 playoffs.

We can turn the other cheek while also taking no 💩 this playoff run.
