Victor Wembanyama on if he feels the weight of Tim Duncan and David Robinson as Spurs franchise legends: “I wouldn’t say, weight, no, I would say, I feel safe. It feels like if you trip, you know there’s a lot of hands that are ready to catch you.”

  1. Dont leave Spurs wemby youre in good hands with them.

I hope pop gets healthy and help their front office.

  2. I once said that Shohei is like Harrison Bergeron, and I stand by that. But if there’s room in this world for two Harrison Bergerons, then this is the other one

  3. How is he so well spoken at this age/level of maturity. Like dude. Wow perfectly said
Way to be the new face of the league

  4. I really love that response. It makes it look like his status as the face of the next generation is less of a burden and more of a gift.

  5. This comment section is wild. To me he just sounds like a non-native English speaker who is incredibly intelligent.

  6. wemby is the rightful face of the nba for the next generation. cheering for spurs to take it all the way this year.

  7. The Wemby doc that comes out someday after he’s won like 7 ships and finished being president of France or whatever is gonna fucking slap

  8. i hate that this guy will be wrecking my team for years to come but glad it had to be him

  9. As a pistons fan we gave a strong franchise culture and identity, what Pop and his core players built in San Antonio is legitimately on another level. That man is a fucking genius that all coaches should aspire towards.

  10. So this is aang in real life and his previous aavatars are watching him fulfill his destiny

  11. I never doubted the Spurs or pop the whole time during the Kawhi drama. Every time our fanbase gets on to whale hunting I hope we don’t trade for him, there’s no way it would work here if he didn’t work there.

  12. What a vulnerable and self-aware thing to say… For a guy who clearly has a mean streak/hypercompetitive side, Wemby sure is a philosopher
