[Charania] The Brooklyn Nets have signed head coach Jordi Fernandez and the entire coaching staff to multiyear contract extensions, sources tell ESPN. This solidifies a long-term commitment for Fernandez after two seasons at the helm.

1. maybe i’m too out of the loop, but Jordi is a great coach right?

   All the games Orlando played against BKN this year felt like Jordi had them in as good of a position as they could be to win every night. Always seemed like a talent diff and never a scheme diff.

10. It’s one thing to believe in the coach. When a team keeps on the entire squad though??? It means the GM/President is ten toes down and so confident of the future that they’re risking their job. The difference between you getting a raise and your whole team getting raises. You worked hard/the squad worked hard and management don’t wanna see y’all dip

12. I think he’s been a fantastic coach for them. The talent obviously isn’t there but the players do seem to respond to him well and they play fairly hard despite being terrible.

17. Read this and thought they sniped the Wings head coach just before the season. Never heard of this Jordi guy.

18. I am a Nets fan. Much have I suffered. I want them to be good and I especially want them to be good with a team they did not microwave through trades or free agency.

    That having been said, you don’t hit the gas on a rebuild until you are confident you have the guy or at least someone who could be the guy in house.

    If they get a top three pick then sure. If they don’t, I would almost prefer they just forget about the pick swap with the Rockets and plow forward accumulating assets.

    I hope their rookies are good, but there is still a decent chance they are not. Adding some decent free agents and say the number seven pick to them, Michael Porter Jr, and Nic Claxton is a recipe for more long-term pain, pick swap or no pick swap.
