I turned the game off (neutral fan) thinking it was over. Then went to get my laptop to turn on DAL vs MIN and saw this was still going
I have so many questions.
They need to change the rule. If you get extended posession or a breakaway or a scoring chance on a play that should have been blown dead – a penalty shouldnt count.
The fact that they gave them a penalty shot over a regular power play is so weird. It wasnt a penalty shot on the play.

Short offside calls are killing offense and goals. Ive played for a long long time and always thought once the puck crosses center let the ref wave off the 10 foot sideways passes that are an inch over.
The anti-cllimatic moment of a reversed call that isn’t against the spirit of the rule (which is to eliminate cherry picking) is shit. Thats the only word for it, shit.
I’m of the opinion that offsides should be reviewed in real time with out zooming and slow motion. If you can’t tell in real time then it’s too close to worry about. This hunting for a millimeter of ice is just ridiculous.
