Last Friday morning, before the Orlando Magic's biggest shootaround of the season at their team facility, head coach Jamahl Mosley showed his players a video, but not the usual film breakdown of the opponent. Instead, he played a three-minute highlight reel of some of his players' own NCAA tournament magic from back in the day.

The players were focused but exhausted. The video provided a welcome respite from the previous two losses that had included a disheartening 113-108 loss to the Boston Celtics, who had rested their rotation players on the final day of the regular season.

Mosley had the video made to show his team that they've battled, thrived and even created unforgettable moments before. Since then, the Magic are doing what they can to produce their own "One Shining Moment" this postseason. The Magic turned their season around by destroying the Hornets 121-90 to clinch the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

  1. Hopefully they showed Banchero getting outplayed by Brady Manek in his last game.

  2. Suggs final four game winner for the Zags is on repeat until the Larry O’Brien is in the locker room

  3. people’s response to coaching is 100% results driven, cool cause they won but this would’ve gotten so clowned if they lost

  4. Hopefully on the next viewing Mosley messes up and slips in that Franz Wagner Elite 8 tape against UCLA that I had to watch as a UM fan lol

  5. If Suggs continues to be best player on the floor they will win. It’s easy to see why he is hurt so often.

  6. I remember Jalen Rose shitting on Mike D’antoni saying that when the Suns faced the Spurs they had plenty of hype film for everyone (even Rose, and he wasn’t playing at all), but no real plan on stopping the Spurs.

Although to be fair, I don’t know how you can prepare for Robert Horry body checking steve nash and the suspensions that ensued.

  7. Coach Bombay told his team to “just have fun” and practiced with a beach ball instead of breaking down film of Iceland.

  8. Now I think about it they have some great college players (I know every NBA team does). But they have multiple guys who were superstars.

  9. **HEARTBREAKING:** the worst coach people have speculated your team’s going to hire just made a great move

  10. Sources are telling me coach lee played dukes game against Houston in our locker room

  11. Paolo, Carter, Franz, Suggs, all had amazing NCAA runs but also ended in huge memorable losses.

I guess every NCAA team ended in memorable losses unless you were the champs.
