This throw is still one of the best throws that I’ve ever seen in baseball.

  1. Few things in baseball are better than an outfielder throwing an absolutely perfect laser to nail a base runner. Chef’s kiss

  2. As a kid a couple of parents took a bunch of us to a Mets doubleheader against the Pirates. We had seats along the right field line, so Roberto Clemente was right in front of us. The Mets’ leadfooted first baseman, Ed Kranepool, was on third base. The batter hit a sharp single to right field and Clemente almost threw Kranepool out at the plate.

  3. Jose Guillen – wasn’t very good in Pittsburgh, but he had a stretch of good seasons with the Reds and As.

  4. It blows my mind to go to the stadium and see how far that is. Would take me like 15 throws

  5. Hot take: this one outshines the Ichiro throw by a mile. This, and the Acuña Jr one last year are the best I’ve seen.

  6. I’ve seen Jose make that throw a few times as a Mariner too. Homeboy had a rocket for an arm.
