Florida State was involved with Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) Ponte Vedra kicker Noah Ash and had him locked in for an official visit, but Ash came off the board following a weekend official visit to Auburn.
Back to the drawing board for a kicker.
FSU special teams coordinator Adam Scheier spoke with and offered Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake kicker Gabriel Goroyan on Monday evening.
Goroyan tells Noles247 that he set up an official visit with the Seminoles for the weekend of June 19th. The Seminoles bumped Colorado from that weekend. He did not reschedule with the Buffaloes.
He was at UCLA for an official visit this past weekend. He will see a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference schools over the next two weekends as he takes official visits to Wake Forest and then Virginia.
Goroyan is ranked as the No. 1 kicker in the 2027 class by Chris Sailer Kicking. Below is the player review on Goroyan from chrissailerkicking.com:
Gabriel is a phenomenal high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. Gabriel does a fantastic job on field goal. The lefty hits a pure, accurate ball off the ground and easily has 55+ yard range. His kickoffs are outstanding, D1 ready. Gabriel drives the ball deep into the endzone with 4.25+ hang time. Also a more than capable punter. A competitor who thrives under pressure. Gabriel has elevated his game to a level above every one else. I look forward to see what the future holds. Look for Gabriel to continue to dominate this off season picking up multiple D1 offers along the way. Gabriel is a fine young man who is always a great pleasure to work with. Fantastic prospect.
