Wallingford & Crowmarsh Football Club currently runs three girls’ teams and one ladies’ development squad, alongside several mixed teams in younger age groups.
The club plans to build a full pathway for female players by adding teams at every age group, starting with a second under-10 squad for the 2026/27 season.
The new under-10s will train weekly in Wallingford and compete in the Oxford Girls’ Football League on Saturday mornings from September to May.
Lucía Bedenham Rodriguez, who has played with the Wildcats team for two years, said: “The Wildcats football team is a pleasure to play with.
“I have made so many happy memories with friends I have met along the way.
“Every match and tournament I have played in has been so much fun.
“Life is a game of football.”
Richard Eltham, chairman of Wallingford & Crowmarsh FC, said: “We believe every girl in Wallingford and the surrounding area should have the chance to play football, make friends and be part of a team.
“The continued growth of our girls’ and women’s section is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
The club encourages girls interested in joining, especially those eligible for the new under-10 team, to get in touch.
