The WNBA regular season resumes tonight for its final high-stakes stretch, with teams sprinting toward the finish line before the 2026 postseason tips off. With top-seeded heavyweights aiming to lock up home-court advantage and bubble teams fighting for the final playoff spots, every possession over the next two weeks carries championship-level urgency.

Game-by-Game Previews
Connecticut Sun at Atlanta Dream (7:30 PM ET) Atlanta (26–14) comes into tonight looking to protect its home floor and cement its position in the upper crust of the playoff standings. The Dream’s perimeter attack, anchored by All-Star playmaking, faces a rebuilding Connecticut squad (10–30) that has dropped out of the postseason race. For Atlanta, this is a must-win tune-up to keep that #4 spot in the race for home-court advantage.
Washington Mystics at Chicago Sky (8:00 PM ET) The Mystics (24–16) enter Chicago looking to lock down their playoff seeding behind one of the league’s stingiest physical defenses. Their young core has come together and gives the Mystics a good shot at a playoff run. Meanwhile, the Sky (15–25) are in complete desperation mode.
Los Angeles Sparks at Dallas Wings (8:00 PM ET – USA Network) Dallas (24–16) hosts a pivotal cross-conference matchup as they aim to climb out of the #8 position and see if they can move past the Mystics and Liberty.
Las Vegas Aces at Seattle Storm (10:00 PM ET – USA Network/CNBC) For the Aces, the task at hand is simple, but not so simple. They are trying to hold off the Dream and Fever for the #2 spot they currently hold, but still have a shot to get the top spot away from Minnesota or Golden State.
Postseason Outlook & Playoff Race
The Top Tier (Aces, Dream, Wings, Mystics): All four teams in action tonight are vying for positioning in the top half of the bracket. Securing a top-four finish is vital, as it awards home-court hosting rights in the best-of-three First Round.
The real chaos lies in the middle of the standings, where positions 4-8 could completely flip before season’s end. The teams are separated by just a handful of games for the final postseason slots. As the top eight teams, regardless of conference, advance, head-to-head tiebreakers over the next ten days will determine who might move on and who may go home early.
