The fifth-ranked Middlebury women’s golf team earned a fifth-place finish at the two-day Wesleyan Women’s Invitational, cutting 12 strokes from their opening round for a 36-hole tally of 626. Bowdoin, holding a share of 12th in the Women’s Golf Coaches Association Division III Coaches Poll, won the team title with a score of 601. Eighth-ranked Williams (611) and #17 Wesleyan (615) finalized the top three.

Julia Hua finished the weekend as the top Panther finisher, sharing eighth place with a score of 152 to match Wellesley’s Audrey Wang. She posted a pair of birdies in Saturday’s opening round.
The next Middlebury golfer on the leaderboard was Teegan Duffy, who carded a 154 to tie for 12th with Angela Nip from Williams. She totaled three birdies, including a pair on Saturday.
Season Wei climbed five spots on Sunday, shooting a 78 to finish 25th (82-78-160). She matched par on 13 of 18 holes in the final round.
Olivia Pak’s Sunday tally of 75 paced the Middlebury contingent. She finished with a score of 163 to match three other golfers and share 31st place.
Cailyn Park rounded out the top-five Panther finishers in a split of 39th (85-84-169).
NOTES
Pak’s 75 on Sunday marks her best single-round score with Middlebury.
The Panthers posted 11 birdies over the two-day event.
Middlebury is now idle until the spring portion of its schedule begins in April.
