The Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s Hospital returns to Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, Florida, Dec. 3-6. The competition is contested between three teams: America, International and Europe.
Eighteen of the event’s 24 roster spots were filled Monday.
Europe won last year’s edition with 230 points, and Darren Clarke is back to lead the title defense. Retief Goosen captains the International team for the first time. Justin Leonard played for the U.S. in both previous editions and takes over as American captain.
European Team
Darren Clarke (captain)Jesper Parnevik (vice captain)Colin MontgomerieBernhard LangerMiguel Ángel JiménezHenrik Stenson
Langer, Montgomerie and Jiménez have each played both previous editions. Stenson, winner of the 2016 Open at Royal Troon, is the only European named so far without experience in the event. He turned 50 in April and has played six PGA Tour Champions events since leaving LIV Golf.
International Team
Retief Goosen (captain)Rod Pampling (vice captain)Vijay SinghScott HendÁngel CabreraSteven Alker
Alker has won four times on PGA Tour Champions in 2026. Goosen and Singh were part of the 2023 International team that finished two points behind the United States, and Cabrera played for the Internationals last year. Australians Pampling and Hend are new to the event.
U.S. Team
Justin Leonard (captain)Billy Andrade (vice captain)Stewart CinkZach JohnsonSteve StrickerJerry Kelly
Johnson turned 50 in February and has won six times since, more than anyone on PGA Tour Champions this season. The other five Americans have all played the event before. Cink, last year’s Charles Schwab Cup winner, has five victories of his own in 2026. Stricker and Kelly were both on the 2023 team that won the inaugural cup, and Kelly scored more points than any player that week.
The last two places on each team will go to players drawn from the Charles Schwab Cup standings on Oct. 19 after the SAS Championship closes the regular season. One of the two will serve as a playing vice captain, a role added for 2026, and captains can use him in place of one teammate per round.
Every match lasts nine holes, and each hole won adds to a team’s total. The United States won the first edition at The Concession in Bradenton in 2023. Hurricanes caused the 2024 event to be cancelled, and Europe took the trophy in 2025.
