WEST POINT, Miss. – Louise Depadt fired a 2-under 70 to lead Oklahoma State into a tie for fourth place after Monday’s opening round of The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club.
 
Depadt closed with a flourish, playing her final seven holes in 3-under par to finish the day tied for sixth individually.
 
The Cowgirls posted a 1-over 289 and sit eight shots behind leader Ole Miss, which opened with a 7-under 281. OSU is just four strokes behind second-place Mississippi State and two back of third-place Augusta in the 17-team field.
 
Ellie Bushnell, Summer Lee, Tarapath Panya and Marta Silchenko each carded 1-over 73s and are tied for 23rd place.
 
OSU is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. Tuesday for the second round.
