LOXLEY, Ala. — The No. 45-ranked Memphis men’s golf team travels to Loxley, Alabama, for the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational, beginning Saturday, Oct. 31, and concluding Sunday, Nov. 1.

The University of South Alabama will host the two-day, 54-hole tournament at Steelwood Country Club. Teams will play 36 holes Saturday before completing the final 18 holes Sunday.

This weekend marks Memphis’ fifth appearance in the event and its third consecutive year in the field. Last year, Yixiang Wang captured his first collegiate title after carding a 7-under 137 to pace the Tigers to a fourth-place team finish in an event shortened to two rounds due to weather.

Last time out, Wang secured his second career individual title at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, firing an 11-under 205. Currently ranked No. 21 in the country, he leads a Memphis squad that shot 9-under 855 to finish tied for third at Quail Valley, alongside Diego Lourenco, who carded a 3-under 213 to share 11th.
