With Emmanuel Clase’s salary removed ($6.4 million) and Pete Fairbank’s salary ($13 million) added to Miami’s payroll, the Guardians currently have the lowest payroll in the MLB. They won the division in 3 of the last 4 years, and have a top 10 player and future HOFer on a team friendly deal.
I highly doubt they remain in this position by the end of the offseason, but it is embarrassing…
