Central Lee High School went nine innings Thursday before Olivia Day helped the Hawks win a Super Conference South Division home game against Van Buren County 6-4.

The Hawks were down 4-0 before scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Another run in the fifth inning tied the game where it remained until the ninth inning when  Day stepped to the plate.

Day delivered a double that scored two runs. Day’s RBI-single in the fifth inning tied the game.

Elaina Barlow threw all nine innings for the Hawks. She scattered six hits and allowed two walks and one earned run of the four scored. She struck out eight Warriors.

Jali Hawk, Marie Young, and Jaci Hawk all had two hits. Aubree Bunnell had a double.

The Hawks had 13 hits to Van Buren County’s six, but the Warriors did not commit an error while Central Lee had six.
