Dylan Leach formerly of the independent league’s Billings Mustangs and Carthage High alum has signed a minor league contract with Major League Baseball’s Toronto Blue Jays.
Leach played in 39 games Billings compiling a .302 average with eight home runs, 19 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
Prior the playing for Billings Leach played his senior year at Missouri State where he was an all-Missouri Valley Conference first-team player.
Leach started all 48 games behind the plate and 54 in total batting .298 with 16 home runs, 15 doubles and 48 RBIs.
Leach played his first three collegiate seasons in the Southeastern Conference, playing two years at Arkansas and one at Missouri…In Fayetteville, Leach played in 41 games, hitting .237 with five home runs and 20 RBI for the Razorbacks.
In 2023 at Missouri, Leach had four homers and 15 RBI in 37 games.
Panola Ponies Basketball Camp
Panola College will be hosting a Ponies Basketball Camp from June 16-18 all grades kindergarten through fifth grade and sixth through eighth grade.
Kindergarten-fifth will run from 9 a.m. until noon and sixth-eighth will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The camps will work on fundamentals, shooting mechanics, defense, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 with competitions for prizes.
Camp t-shirts will be included.

Carthage Volleyball Camp
Carthage will host their volleyball came from June 16-18 for grades second-fifth and sixth through eighth.
Second-fifth will run from 10 a.m. until noon each day with the camp being $40 and sixth-eighth will run from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. with the cost being $45.
The camp will take place at the Junior High gym and camp t-shirts will be included.
