Meet the Mets

The Mets completed a sweep of the Nationals and extended their winning streak to six games yesterday afternoon at Citi Field. The win didn’t come without some cost, though, as Kodai Senga suffered a hamstring injury in the top of the sixth while covering first base.

Senga is schedule to have an MRI on his hamstring today, after which there will be an update on the severity of the injury. And for now, Max Kranick will take his spot on the active roster.

Pete Alonso, who made the the throw that caused Senga to leap in the air to make a catch at first base, was emotional about his involvement in the play.
