Big Red Machine legends to return to Cincinnati for 50th anniversary celebration

Legendary members of the iconic Big Red Machine teams will return to Cincinnati for a 50th anniversary reunion this month.Twenty-three Reds legends including Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, will return to the Queen City for a historic celebration of the anniversary of the iconic 1975 and 1976 Big Red Machine teams.The festivities will go from June 26-29 with a full schedule of events. During the events, fans will be able to meet the players, hear their stories and celebrate their legacy.“Fifty years ago, we were living in a movie about greatness, grit, friendship, and life—but we were too busy redefining the game to realize it,” Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench said in a statement. “The fans back then—and even now, fifty years later—are part of this incredible experience, which is why my teammates and I want to celebrate with them in Cincinnati.” Players scheduled to attend include: Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Ken Griffey, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Jack Billingham, Clay Carroll, Tom Carroll, Darrel Chaney, Terry Crowley, Pat Darcy, Dan Driessen, Rawly Eastwick, Doug Flynn, Will McEnaney, Fred Norman, Santo Alcala, Tom Hall, Rich Hinton, Mike Lum, Manny Sarmiento, Don Werner and Joel Youngblood.See a full schedule of events below: Thursday, June 26An Evening with the Big Red Machine: A storytelling event hosted by Reds Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
