CLEVELAND — The Naylor brothers combined to give the Guardians an early lead against the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday night at Progressive Field.
Facing Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon, Josh Naylor hit a slow-roller and reached safely with one out on an infield single to third base.

After rookie Jhonkensy Noel struck out, Bo Naylor hit a two-out, RBI double to right field on a full count, scoring his older brother and elevating Cleveland to a 1-0 lead in the second inning. The at-bat lasted 10 pitches.

The Guardians entered Game 5 staring at a 3-1 deficit in the best-of-seven ALCS and trying to avoid elimination.
