SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 5, SYRACUSE 1 (BOX)
The RailRiders have had Syracuse’s number all season and the domination continued. Syracuse dropped their seventh game in a row- not just against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, but in general!- wasting a decent effort by Nolan McLean, who gave up three runs (two earned) over six innings on four hits and three walks.

BINGHAMTON 8, RICHMOND 2 (BOX)
Having clenched the Eastern League Northeast Division first-half title Friday night, Binghamton technically has nothing to play for, but that didn’t stop them from going out there and stampeding all over the Flying Squirrels. The offense plated two runs in the top of the first, three in the top of the second, and one more in the top of the third, with the usual suspects all getting in on the action. Joander Suarez threw four scoreless innings, but an error and a single put two men on base, both of whom scored. The Rumble Ponies maintained their initial six-run lead thanks to a JT Schwartz homer and a Kevin Parada RBI double in the seventh, with the final score ending up 8-2.

BROOKLYN 1, ASHVILLE 0 (BOX)
The only run the Brooklyn Cyclones were able to plate was a Carson Benge RBI single in the sixth inning, but that run was enough as the Cyclones threw their seventh shutout of the season. Branden Girton made the start and threw five perfect innings, striking out six. Joel Diaz replaced him and threw three more scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out three. In the ninth inning, Raimon Gomez made things a little hairy by allowing a two-out seeing-eye single off the bat of infielder Alejandro Nunez and hitting poor Garret Guillemette in the arm with a 103 MPH fastball, but was able to end things, striking out Lucas Spence waving at a 103.3 MPH fastball up and away. With the win, Brooklyn lowered their magic number for the South Atlantic League North Division to four.

DAYTONA 10, ST. LUCIE 0 (BOX)
Edgar Moreta did not have his best stuff and pitched one of the worst games of his young career, allowing seven runs (six earned). Luis Alvarez relieved him and did not fare much better, allowing three earned runs. The offense for the most part showed up, with Yohairo Cuevas, Trace Willhoite, and Colin Houck all having multi-hit evenings, but wasn’t able to even scratch a single run across and get on the board.
