The Texas Rangers’ latest injury move is now official.

Right-hander Tyler Mahle was officially placed on the 15-day injured list, the team announced Sunday morning. Mahle’s IL stint is retroactive to June 12.

-RHP Tyler Mahle placed on 15-day Injured List, retroactive to June 12.
-RHP Kumar Rocker recalled from Triple-A Round Rock.

In a corresponding move, the Rangers called up right-hander Kumar Rocker from Triple-A Round Rock. Rocker is slated to start Sunday’s series finale between the Rangers and Chicago White Sox.

This is the latest test for a Rangers starting rotation that has been among MLB’s best during the 2025 season. Mahle, who owns a 2.34 ERA in 14 starts, was diagnosed with right shoulder fatigue.

Sunday’s game would be Rocker’s seventh start for the Rangers this season. He was recently optioned to Triple-A and pitched Tuesday for Round Rock.
