CINCINNATI (WKRC) – For the first time in his career, Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz has homered in four straight games, joining a group of legendary players in the Cincinnati record books.
EDLC had two singles, homered, scored three times and drove in three runs as the Reds beat the Detroit Tigers 8-4 on Sunday. His two-run homer in the ninth was a line drive the opposite way.

De La Cruz leads all MLB shortstops with 16 homers, two ahead of Francisco Lindor the New York Mets. He has 50 RBI, one above Geraldo Perdomo of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and 57 runs, eight more than Trea Turner of the Philadelphia Philles.
