Jim Callis at MLB Pipeline unveiled another mock draft on June 13, which gives us another look at a player who might be available for the Dodgers on the first night of the 2025 MLB Draft.

This MLB Pipeline mock draft goes 43 picks deep, which covers the Dodgers’ first two selections — their first-round pick at 40th overall (dropped 10 slots from 30th for their competitive balance tax payroll) and No. 41, which was acquired in January from the Reds in the Gavin Lux trade.

Callis in this mock draft has the Dodgers selecting local third base and outfielder Quentin Young from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village at No. 40. We’ve written about Young previously, as he was linked to the Dodgers in mock drafts at Baseball America in March and Bleacher Report in April as well.

The MLB Pipeline mock draft pick at 41st overall is new to us, pitcher Matthew Fisher from Memorial High School in Evansville, Indiana.

Baseball America rates Fisher the 100th-best prospect in the draft. The right-hander, who is committed to go to college at Indiana if he does not turn pro, has a higher ranking at MLB Pipeline, at 44th overall:

At his best, Fisher works at 92-93 mph and touches 95 with a high-spin fastball that features good carry with natural cut. There are times when he’ll operate more at 88-91 mph, but his heater still plays and should create more consistent velocity as he fills out his 6-foot-3 frame. He also creates high spin rates on his low-80s slider and upper-70s curveball while demonstrating aptitude for a fading mid-80s changeup.

Fisher is one of over 300 prospects who will take part in the MLB Draft combine this week at Chase Field in Phoenix.

The 2025 MLB Draft will take place over two days this year, from July 13-14 in Atlanta, coinciding with All-Star festivities in the city.
