CLINTON — The Central DeWitt Sabers powered past both early rainfall and the Clinton River Queens on Monday night, taking both games of the Mississippi Athletic Conference doubleheader.
In game one the Sabers played patient softball, taking 17 walks in the contest while also notching 10 hits. They opened up the game with an 11-run top of the first inning which was split in half by a rain delay.
