The Verona Cavaliers picked up two wins over the weekend and remained in second place in the Home Talent League’s Western Section.
Verona (4-1) rolled by Hollandale in Sunday League action 10-2 on Sunday, June 15, on the road. The Cavaliers were coming off a 4-0 victory over Fort Atkinson in the Night League on Friday, June 13, at Jones Park in Fort Atkinson. With the win, Verona improved to 4-0 in the Night League.

Kyle Prindle went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Cavaliers to a road win over Hollandale.
Prindle was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Verona’s Colby Davis went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Prindle had a two-run single in the third inning. He hit a three-run homer to center in the ninth. Verona’s Jacob Slonim hit a home run to left in the second.
Verona’s Aidan Williams pitched five shutout innings and struck out seven to earn the win. Brady Patten tossed four innings in relief and surrendered two unearned runs on five hits, while striking out one and walking four.

Nate Novinska drove in two runs to lead the Cavaliers to the victory over the Generals.
Novinska hit a two-run home run to left in the first. Slonim went 2-for-3. Verona’s Riley Peterson pitched a four-hit shutout in five innings and struck out five.
