Grand Chute, WI–In its first ever trip to state, Kewaunee baseball is headed to the D3 title game after defeating Fennimore 5-3 in the state semifinals on Tuesday.

They took the lead in the 4th inning on a 2-RBI triple by Brady Pribek, then added three more in the 5th on a fly ball to right from Connor Kilgore that was misplayed by the right fielder, allowing all three runs to score.

Brett Paulsen struck out 8 batters in 5 innings, while Waylon Delain got the save, throwing two scoreless innings.

They will play for the D3 title at noon on Thursday against either Kenosha St. Joseph or Barron.
