An Orioles minor league infielder has died, the team announced Tuesday.Luis Guevara, 19, played in 24 games for the Orioles’ Single-A affiliate, Delmarva. He also played four games with the FCL Orioles and two games with Double-A Chesapeake.”Luis was a beloved member of our organization, and we are devastated following his tragic passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and teammates and we ask for their continued privacy during this difficult time,” Orioles Executive Vice President and General Manager Mike Elias said in a news release.Guevara signed with the Orioles as an international free agent in January 2023.
