It appears that Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is going to the 2025 All-Star Game.
In case it wasn’t clear with his National League-leading 25 home runs, slugging percentage (.643) and OPS (1.039), the leading vote-getter in each league through June 26 will get an automatic spot in the Midsummer Classic.
Ohtani currently leads all NL players with over 1.39 million votes.

Ohtani is trailed by superstar teammate Freddie Freeman, who is at around 1.14 million votes in the second-place spot.
Other Dodgers among the National League’s leading vote-getters include catcher Will Smith, who is currently over 1.12 million votes, and outfielder Teoscar Hernández, who has secured over 685,000 votes.
The rest of the ballot is still riddled with Dodgers, but there is some more work to be done to get the field as blue as possible ahead of the All-Star game.
Mookie Betts is currently second in shortstop voting to New York Mets star Francisco Lindor. Tommy Edman is also in second place for second baseman voting behind divisional rival Arizona Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte.
Yet another Dodger currently in the second place spot in his position is Max Muncy. He trails third baseman Manny Machado of the San Diego Padres.
Ohtani’s large amount of votes is certainly impressive, but it still trails New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge and his upwards of 1.5 million votes.
Perhaps a spectacle that will start pushing out more Ohtani votes is a feat that he hadn’t done since 2023 until Monday, when he returned to the pitcher’s mound to make his Dodgers pitching debut on Monday against the Padres.
Regardless of who finishes with the most votes, the All-Star Game will look to be a reflection of honoring the game’s best and marking the first half of what is already shaping up to be another memorable season of baseball.
