The Detroit Tigers will play two Thursday.
Wednesday’s scheduled game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Comerica Park was postponed due to expected inclement weather in Detroit.
It’ll be made up as part of a split doubleheader. The first game begins at 1:10 p.m., and the second at 5:40 p.m.
In Game 1, Tigers’ lefty ace Tarik Skubal will faced Pirates lefty Andrew Heaney. The Pirates will start their ace, right-hander Paul Skenes in Game 2. The Tigers have listed TBD for Game 2.
The expectation is that manager AJ Hinch will deploy an opener ahead of right-hander Keider Montero. Both teams will be able to add a 27th player to the roster for Game 2. The Tigers likely will add another pitcher.
Tickets for Wednesday’s game will be valid for the nightcap of Thursday’s split doubleheader, the Tigers said.
