TWO. IN. A. ROW.

A win streak, though, after that horrendous, eye-gouging Mariners series is awesome. Logan Allen out-dueled Justin Verlander. Hilarious sentence.

5-and-a-third innings of 2-run ball. Good.

The Guardians got to JV early when Manzardo got on base with a double to right. Jose drove him in right after.

It was all quiet in the Bay until Daniel Schneemann unloaded on a mistake Verlander fastball and sent it 103mph, 394 feet to left-center.

Interestingly enough, Verlander is now 24-25 against Cleveland in the regular season for his career.

Matt Festa was good again. Cade Smith is (still) amazing. Tim Herrin had a fantastic outing which is so awesome to see after all the struggles he’s had this year. His location seemed much better tonight, at least by the eye test. The only hit he gave up was a Bermuda Triangle flyball medium-deep down the line in right. Didn’t hang anything today, and had a beautiful first-pitch curveball to Flores.

The ninth got a little spooky after another cheap Giants hit, but Clase struck out Pat Bailey to end the festivities at Oracle.

Sweep tomorrow… it’s funny to say that. All you have to do is beat Logan Webb.

Goodnight and go Guards!
