Vanderbilt baseball added to its 2025 recruiting class by flipping left-handed pitcher Aiden Stillman from Virginia. Stillman announced his commitment on June 19.

He thanked coach Tim Corbin and pitching coach Scott Brown.

“After a lot of thought and consideration, I’m thrilled to announce I’ve chosen to attend Vanderbilt University,” Stillman wrote on Instagram. “Excited to further my education and grow both as a baseball player and person. Thank you Coach Corbin and Coach Brown for this opportunity!”

Stillman, the No. 50 player nationwide, decommitted from Virginia after coach Brian O’Connor was hired by Mississippi State. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Stillman is up to 95 mph with his fastball. He attended Trinity Prep in Winter Park, Florida.

The Commodores will need to get Stillman through the MLB draft, as he rates out as the No. 104 prospect by MLB Pipeline and No. 74 prospect by Baseball America.

Should he make it to campus, Stillman adds to the Commodores’ stable of southpaws. JD Thompson is likely to get drafted, Miller Green and Levi Huesman are also draft-eligible, Ryan Ginther is out of eligibility and Ethan McElvain transferred to Arkansas. Of left-handed pitchers who saw significant innings for Vanderbilt in 2025, only rising sophomore Matthew Shorey is not draft-eligible.

The Commodores have two other left-handed pitchers in their 2025 class: Talon Haley and Patrick Clemmey.
