Triple-A Syracuse was suspended due to rain, the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies offense couldn’t get out of the blocks, Eli Serrano III was a factor on both offense and defense for High-A Brooklyn, and Low-A St. Lucie lost in extra innings on Thursday.

Triple-A
Syracuse Mets (29-42) 0, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (45-26) 3/ SUSPENDED TOP 2ND

The Syracuse vs. Jacksonville game was suspended due to weather in the top of the second inning. It will be resumed at 4:05 p.m. as part of a doubleheader today.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (43-21) 2, Harrisburg Senators (33-33) 4

SS Jett Williams – 0-for-4, 2 K (.921 OPS)
CF Nick Morabito – 2-for-3, 1 R, 2 SB (26), 1 BB, 1 K (.794 OPS)
RF Ryan Clifford – 0-for-3, 1 BB (.825 OPS)
DH Nick Lorusso – 2-for-4, 1 R, HR (3), 2 RBI (30), 2 K (.755 OPS)

Lorusso was essentially the entire offense on Thursday, as only three other Rumble Ponies managed hits – none for extra bases while only drawing two walks. Kevin Parada‘s uneven season continues, as he has struck out in nine of his last 12 at-bats while simultaneously riding a 2025 power surge to a .695 OPS.

Pintaro struggled through 3 2/3 innings, requiring 72 pitches to get him to that point. Lambert had his first real stumble since his promotion to Double-A, giving up the lead in a third of an inning, where he allowed two earned runs, walked two and gave up a hit. Prior to this, Lambert hadn’t allowed a run since June 4. Former Mets farmhand Junior Santos got the save for Harrisburg.

BOX SCORE

CF A.J. Ewing – 1-for-5 (.800 OPS)
DH Boston Baro – 1-for-3, 3B, 1 RBI (22), 1 BB, 1 K (.614 OPS)
SS  Marco Vargas – 3-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI (23), SB (22), 1 BB (.655 OPS)
1B Jacob Reimer – 2-for-5, 2B, 1 R, 3 K (.904 OPS)
RF Carson Benge – 1-for-5, SB (13) (.898 OPS)
LF Eli Serrano III – 3-for-5, 2B, 2 R, 1 K (.813 OPS)
2B Jesus Baez – 1-for-4, 1 BB (.745 OPS)
C Chris Suero – 2-for-5, 1 R, 3 RBI (42), SB (21), CS (7) (.845 OPS)

The Cyclones’ stacked lineup pulled another big win out, this time exploding for four runs in the eighth inning to take the win. The Cyclones had fourteen hits on the day, and Serrano has come alive in June, slashing .313/.371/.469 while notching an outfield assist on an absolute strike that nailed a runner at home on Thursday.

RHP Will Watson (2.03 ERA) 4 2/3 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 5 K (49 of 87 pitches for strikes)
RHP Saul Garcia (1.53 ERA) 2/3 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K
RHP Hoss Brewer (0.00 ERA)  2/3 IP

Watson battled through some wildness to scatter four hits over 4 2/3 innings, walking three and striking out five. Chandler Marsh has allowed runs in his last two appearances after previously not allowing a run since May 3. Brewer allowed no runs or hits in his first appearance for Brooklyn.

Low-A
St. Lucie Mets (34-31) 6, Palm Beach Cardinals (32-33) 7
BOX SCORE

2B Trey Snyder – 3-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI (29), 1 BB (.728 OPS)
LF Nick Roselli – 1-for-5, 1 R, 3 K (.651 OPS)
SS Colin Houck – 2-for-5, 2B, 1 R, 2 RBI (36), 2 K (.812 OPS)
Daiverson Gutierrez – 0-for-4, 1 BB, 2 K (.701 OPS)

Snyder has been heating up and operating as the spark plug for St. Lucie, raising his OPS by .100 points in the last month. Houck is working on a seven-game hit streak and has shown a much better ability to put the bat on the ball in 2025. Trace Willhoite went 1-for-5 with an RBI, his 38th of the season. A call-up to Brooklyn for Willhoite could be coming any day, as it doesn’t seem like he has much more to prove in Low-A.

RHP Frank Elissalt (3.66 ERA)  4 1/3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K (40 of 65 pitches for strikes)

St. Lucie’s pitching was not sharp against Palm Beach, walking seven batters and hitting another. Elissalt had a bounce-back appearance after allowing four runs on June 12.
